Praise & Prayers!
Praise God! We’ve met our goal. We’ve raised enough money to get to Tanzania (and back home);o)!
This is probably my last email before we leave next Saturday morning.
I want to thank you all again for your support. When we started this journey I had no doubt that God would provide for us all. As time grew short I started to doubt just a little. I raised money for two short term mission trips back in 1991 & 1992 (if I remember right). God was faithful then and He has proven Himself once again.
What is even better is this time I have friends from all over the country supporting me. I am humbled and blessed by the support from all of you.
In the book of Malachi God basically says in chapter 3 “Be a giving people and I will provide for you; test me and see that I will open the windows of heaven for you” I am sure that God is opening the window of heaven for each and every one of you.
I want to thank you all for your prayer support as well. I used to quote my pastor in California, he would say that “Prayer is the greatest unused resource we have” I later learned that he got that quote from Billy Graham. I think that is true especially in my life. But I am confident that I am blessed by friends that are praying for me.
I would continue to ask for prayer as we “go”. For me I would ask for health during this trip. I have had several health issues pop up in the last few weeks. Please ask God to keep me healthy during this trip so I can serve him and not be a burden on the rest of my teammates.
For the team I would ask for health and safety. Tanzania is fairly stable but the threat of terrorism is a very real. Please pray that God would protects us all from thieves, pick-pockets and all around bad guys. Lastly please pray for our tum
